MITES OF THE FAMILY MYOBIIDAE (ACARIFORMES: PROSTIGMATA) PARASITIC ON BATS (MAMMALIA: CHIROPTERA) OF THE FAUNA OF RUSSIA AND ADJACENT COUNTRIES

Annotation:

A review of the fauna of myobiid mites found on bats in Russia and adjacent countries is given. 27 species of mites belonging to 5 genera of the family Myobiidae were registered on bats in the fauna of Russia and adjacent countries. Of these, 13 mite species are new for the region. The presence in Russia of 14 additional species can be supposed.

Their host ranges are determined more precise-ly, and host-parasite relationships discussed. The original generic diagnoses and illustrations to species drawn by the author are also presented. Keys to all mite genera and species in question are presented.
