The first description of larva of the water mite Lebertia saxonica, which was earlier considered as a form, subspecies or synonym of L. insignis. The comparison of larval morphology of these species showed that larvae have significant differences in the structure of various organs. It is necessary to restore the initial status of L. saxonica and consider it as a separate species. Keywords:
