Annotation:

Nine species of quill mites of the family Syrin-gophilidae (Acari: Cheyletoidea) were collected from ethanol preserved specimens of parrots most-ly died in the Antverpen Zoo (Belgium). Among them, three new species are described: Megasyrin-gophilus dubinini sp. n. from Trichoglossus orna-tus from Indonesia (Sulawesi Is.), Megasyrin-gophilus platycercus sp. n. from Platycercus ex-imius from Australia and Terratosyringophilus lor-icinus from Lorius garrulus from Indonesia (Hal-mahera Is). The new host records and a key for the species of the genus Megasyringophilus are given.
