Annotation:

A new genus of pygmephorid mites (Acarina: Pygmephoridae) named Asiapygmephorus is de-scribed from Turkmenistan , with the type species Pediculaster paucisetosus Sevastianov et Chydy-rov, 1991. The redescription of Pediculaster pau-cisetosus is given.
