Annotation:

The redescription of Oribatula elegantissima Balogh and Mahunka, 1965 (Oribatida: Oribatulidae) is presented, based on the material collected from dry soil in the steppes of the Altai Republic, Russia. The main morphological traits of this species are summarized.
