Abstract:

Uracrobates indicus Ramani and Haq, 1990 (Oribatida, Mochlozetidae) is recorded from Vietnam for the first time. A supplementary description of an adult, along with the species’ summarized diagnostic morphological traits, are presented. In addition, the species’ tritonymph is described. It is characterized by the presence of a clavate bothridial seta; long, thickened lamellar, interlamellar and gastronotic setae c1, c3, da, la, dm, lm, dp, lp, h1–h3 and p1, which are heavily barbed in their distal halves; short, setiform and sparsely barbed gastronotic setae c2, p2 and p3; and comparatively short anal and adanal setae.
