The genus Daidalotarsonemus De Leon (Acari: Tarsonemidae) is recorded from Russia for the first time. A new species, Daidalotarsonemus septentrionalis sp. n., is described based on females collected from thin branches of Pinus sibirica in Western Siberia (Nizhnevartovsk, the Khanty-Mansiysky Avtonomny Okrug).
